    There are 3 types of quality inspections using machine vision systems in our system: defect inspection, tolerance monitoring, dimensional measurement.

    • Defect inspection: Defect inspection is an automatic inspection of customized parts for potential defects. Defects may be cosmetic or may affect product functionality. Examples of defect inspections include: edge sharpness and corners, particulates, underfill, cracks, burrs, and more.
    • Tolerance Monitoring: A high-quality system uses as much feedback as possible to maintain control of the process. Equipment visual inspection systems are important in monitoring tolerance-related processes and allowing the associated control system to adjust to developments in boundary condition trends. Typical visual tolerance monitoring systems we use include: temperature monitoring via thermal imaging, final part positioning relative to a set benchmark, punch wear cycles based on cutting edge quality and shape, and more.
    • Dimensional Measurement: Many products produced by our automated systems have strict specifications on the size and shape of the components. Our vision systems are widely used to determine if the part being assembled by an automated system is acceptable, or kick it out before it enters the process. Some typical measurements include: head height, verticality, segment width, aperture, and more.

    3. Process automation:

    Some equipment vision inspection systems provide customers with feedback data about their product quality and processing capabilities, while others simply assist automated equipment in performing the tasks it was designed to perform.
